Teen Suicide Prevention
The pre-teen/teen years can be tough for kids...but they can be even more challenging for parents! You know your child better than anybody else. Trust your gut instincts. If you notice your child is acting differently, don’t hesitate to reach out. It may simply be normal adolescent moodiness, but it could be a sign of something more serious such as a mental health concern.

Please reach out to your child’s teachers, counselor, nurse, or any adult at
school if you have concerns. This brief video has some great tips for talking to kids, but more importantly - listening to kids.

In a sobering, deeply personal talk Briggs shares stories from those he’s spoken — and listened — to standing on the edge of life. He gives a powerful piece of advice to those with loved ones who might be contemplating suicide.
